The simplicity is that all you have to do to lose weight is to burn more calories than you consume. That is it! Burn more calories than you eat and you will lose weight.
The first thing now is to determine your commitment and desire to lose weight. You must have the right mindset, your reason must be strong enough for you to make the decision that even if you slip up on the odd occassion to keep on and not quit.
You have to consume some calories to exist so we will determine your basic calorie maintenance level. It is a simple formula that is accurate for most people except those who are very muscular and those who are exceptionally fat.

Now you simply have to determine how you are going to burn 500 more calories than your maintenance level. You can eat less, change your food groups so there are less calories in your diet or do more exercise or a combination of both works best.
